Website checklist

Before you hire3 min read

You don't need everything ready before getting in touch. Start with the purpose of your website, what your business sells and the style you like. Your logo, photos, text and domain details can follow. The more information you share upfront, the easier it is for me to confirm the scope, price and delivery date without going back and forth.

What to know before we talk

This helps me recommend a package and estimate the cost.

  • The purpose of your website

What should visitors do next: call, send a message, book an appointment, place an order or view your work? Choose the most important action. I will design the page so each section guides visitors towards it.

  • What you sell and who your customers are

Briefly describe your products or services, your main customers and what sets you apart. This information will shape the headings on your home page.

  • Websites you like

Send links to 2–3 websites and explain what you like about them: colours, fonts, layout or scroll effects. A competitor's website is fine, or you can choose from my demos.

  • How many pages you need

A single landing page is often enough for one product or service. Businesses with several services usually need home, services, portfolio and contact pages. If you are unsure, tell me what customers need to see and I will organise it into pages.

  • Budget and target launch date

Share your budget range so I can recommend a suitable package. If the site needs to launch in time for a shop opening or promotion, include that date too.

What to send before work starts

These materials are needed to build the pages. You can send them through the chat as they become ready.

  • Logo

Send the highest-quality file you have, preferably the original artwork or a PNG with a transparent background. If you do not have a logo yet, I can use your business name as text and add the logo later.

  • Text

Include service details, any prices you want to display, opening hours, your address and contact information. Send them in the chat or a Word file. If the text is unfinished, send what you have and I will identify any gaps.

  • Photos

Photos of your storefront, products, past work or team. Send full-size files from your camera or phone, without resizing. Real photos of your business earn visitors' trust more easily than stock photos.

  • If you sell online

Send your product list, prices, options such as size or colour, shipping fees and payment methods, such as a PromptPay QR code. Providing this in Excel or Google Sheets makes importing it faster.

  • Your domain and existing accounts

If you have a domain, send its name and registrar. Otherwise, suggest 2–3 domain names you would like. Include any existing Facebook page, LINE OA or Google Maps listing so I can link them to the site. The website is set up in your own account, and you receive the full source code.

Can we talk before everything is ready?

Yes. The first 3 points are enough to start a conversation: the purpose of your website, what you sell and the style you like. I will list what is still needed and when, to keep the project moving.

What happens after you send the details?

  1. Tell me what you want from your website and share examples you like.
  2. I confirm the scope, price and delivery date for you to review before payment.
  3. I design the home page for your review before building the rest.
  4. I launch the website on your domain, hand it over and show you how to use it.
